Survey Reason

As the smallest member of EU and a Mediterranean island country, Malta hopes to make itself one of the most crypto-friendly regions in the world through policies and laws. With Binance and OKEx, two of the world's top five cryptocurrency Exchanges choosing Malta as their operation center, other Exchanges have followed suit. To help investors get a more comprehensive understanding of the country's cryptocurrency Exchanges, the survey team went to Malta for an on-site visit.

Survey Process

The team members went to visit the cryptocurrency Exchange AAX in Birkikala, Malta. The address is EWROPA BUSINESS CENTRE, LEVEL 3-701, DUN KARM STREET, BIRKIRKARA.

With efforts, the team members came to the destination, the office building named EWROPA BUSINESS CENTRE located in Birkikala, Malta. They didn’t find the name of AAX on the calling system outside the building.

The team members entered the building and didn’t find the name of the cryptocurrency Exchange AAX on the signboard of the building, while the Exchange’s publicly displayed business address was on the third floor of the building.

To further confirm whether AAX is operating here, the team members continued to look for clues, and no logo or name of AAX was found on the mailbox of the building.

Summary

The team members went to visit the cryptocurrency Exchange AAX in Birkikala, Malta. They did not find the office place of the Exchange on its publicly displayed address. Therefore, it may be just registered here, and there is no real business place. Investors shall stay prudent before choosing the Exchange.
